Iws Intelligent watering systems- FLood & Drain

Information is on the 6 pot version

The IWS Flood and Drain System is a highly developed hybrid ebb and flow system, which works by flooding from the bottom of each individual 10.3 litre pot.

The system uses gravity to send water to the pots and only uses pumps to fill and drain the main 25 litre control bucket.This has two quality magnetic float valves mounted inside to control the power to the pumps in both the tank and the controller bucket.

These floats control the flood level in the growing medium precisely to stop any over watering or flooding.

As the water is forced through thegrowing medium, it expels all the stale air in the medium surrounding the root ball and replaces it with fresh oxygen as it drains away

The IWS Flood System from Intelligent Watering Systems is a refined modular flood and drain system which has hugely advanced the design of this type of system. Featuring sloped stands for each pot to ensure full drainage, large 9 Litre pots to house extensive root mass and modular controller design so that in the unlikely event of equipment failure it is simply a component change rather than a full system replacement – the IWS has really progressed flood and drain systems with the grower in mind. The modular pot design of the IWS allows you to move plants around the system to ensure even growth, it enables you to customise your plant layout to suit your room and it allows you to expand your system over time if desired. This grostar reflector was designed with 2 main things n mind. extra large spread and to eliminate hot spots! We have not run tests on this reflector our selves yet but initial impressions are good and we have heard plenty of good things from customers....

What Grostar Say....

Minimum of 95% Total Reflectivity and Multi-Layered Surfacing Brightened. The Grostar is made from a combination of the following alloys namely MIRO; Aliminium/Silver, Silicon dioxide and Titanium Dioxide.

MIRO is capable of reflecting a 'plant friendly' spectrum due to its colour correcting qualities. This means reflection is of a fuller spectrum making for more lush plant growth. Miro is used in Lighting industries to increase the efficiency of any available lighting source. The Grostar is the only reflector in the world today that is made from MIRO.

The angles created for this reflector were designed by physicists to omit a perfectly even, downward spread of light. The Superoots Air-Pot is a recyclable, reusable plastic container that actively enhances the quality of the root systems of plants.

This revolutionary approach to containerizing tree stock produces fabulous, non-spiralling root systems that are impossible to develop in any other available container

Made of recycled HDPE, the Superoots Air-Pot is circular in shape with a perforated sidewall, which is textured like an egg carton. There are no flat surfaces to deflect roots and start the spiraling process.

The inward pointing cones direct the root towards the hole in the outward pointing cones where the air density in the soil is too great and therefore the apical cells at the very tip of the root dehydrate, or are air-pruned.

The response of the plant to this air-pruning is to send out more roots to compensate for the loss, which leads to the build up of a dense and fibrous radial root system in a dramatically short time.
